This summery version of this classic appetizer features creamy cheese, savory walnuts and sweet honey. Perfect for a light appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 8 ounces brie, cut into small cubes (see note)
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh walnuts
  • 3 tbsp fresh raw honey

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Thaw one sheet of puff pastry for 30 - 45 minutes.
  • Gently roll puff pastry to stretch slightly and cut into six square pieces at the seams.
  • Use a fork to poke air holes in the puff pastry.
  • Add diced brie to each of the puff pastry squares.
  • Add blackberries and walnuts to the puff pastry squares on top of the brie.
  • Bake in pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until puff pastry starts turning golden.
  • Remove from oven and drizzle with raw honey.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use Brie, or Camembert cheese here. Any soft, creamy cheese will work for this recipe.
