These air fryer stuffed mushrooms are a perfect party appetizer, late afternoon snack or complimentary side dish for most dinners.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Vegetable-based cooking oil spray

Ingredients

  • 1 pound whole white button mushrooms
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese finely shredded
  • 2 tablespoons green onions finely minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer, following manufacturer's instructions - to 350 degrees (see note).
  • Spray air fryer basket with cooking oil spray.
  • Dust and wipe mushrooms clean (do not rinse) and remove stems.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together cream cheese, green onions, ground paprika and kosher salt until well combined.
  • Using a regular spoon, stuff the cream cheese filling into mushroom caps, until just slightly overfull.
  • Place the stuffed mushroom caps filling side up in prepared air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 8 minutes, or until mushrooms are crispy and golden brown. If you are using a smaller air fryer, you may need to work in batches.
  • Remove promptly from air fryer basket and allow stuffed mushrooms to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with additional finely sliced green onions, if desired.

Notes

Note: All air fryers are manufactured slightly differently. Some require preheating before cooking, some do not. 
If you own a "multicooker" air fryer select the "air crisp" button for this recipe, or refer to your air fryer owner's manual for further guidance on which setting to use for "air fry".
